Business Spotlight:

Lake Country Fine Arts School and Gallery

Owners: Marlene Millevolte

Give a brief history of why you started your business:

I knew I could provide a needed service for the community by offering a safe, nurturing space for people to create together.

How long have you been in business? How long in the BID?

I have owned LCFA for over 20 years and in the BID since it began.

What is your “secret gem”? What is something that you provide often people don’t know about?

We teach art classes in sculpting, pottery, glass fusing, painting and drawing.  People don’t realize that they can come in as beginners and still create something in their first visit.

What is your favorite thing about serving the Hartland Community?

I enjoy witnessing the achievements of uncertain, budding artists that  experience such sincere joy with their accomplishments.

Are there events you host or take part in that we should attend?

Business Trick or Treat and Hartland Lights

How has the BID’s grants/loans/services helped your business?

I have new awnings and paint with help from the BID.

How can the community support you during these unprecedented times?

Anyone can safely take a class knowing that we all wear masks and are stationed a safe distance from one another.
